5 Easy steps to looking
10lbs thinner overnight.
- Posture. Test yourself by raising your shoulders
up as much as you can by inhaling. Still holding your breath slowly
drops your shoulders down while exhaling. You may find that you have
been hunching up your shoulders all day as the stress of the day has
been retained in your body. Properly breathing and dropping the
shoulders will do a great thing to the way you stand.
- When is the last time you were measured for a
bra? You say measured? Well the Bra industry estimates that 70% of
American women are wearing the wrong bra size. Are you one of the 70%?
They go on to say that bras should be replaced after about 6 months; through wear and washing,
they lose their original shape and support.
Wearing your bra in the wrong location means that you are not configured
properly to the shape your clothing was designed for. A quick check is
to see wither your nipples in your bra are more than 3-4 inches below
your armpit. A new bra that brings them back up will give you a more youthful appearance. Underwire
support and minimizers are options for larger breasted women. Standards
between manufactures are nearly non-existent, so the fit of the cup size etc will be
different bra to bra. Don’t allow your bra to pinch around the ribs
cage or pull on the shoulders. Too tight a fit and there will be bulges
elsewhere. Shoulder pads are available for extra comfort. The back of
your bra should never ride up your back.
- Shoulders back, head up, I am sure you must have
heard that in your youth. Well are you standing and walking in a way
that you are balanced? How you hold your shoulders effects the way you
walk, the way you hold yourself, and the way your clothes fit.
Ill-fitting clothes will make you look heavier.
- Are you wearing flattering colors next to your
face? Here is a quick tip. Hold the material up to your face. You
will automatically do one of two things. Either your eyes will go to
just your face or your eyes will see both you and the clothing. The
latter, your eyes going to both your face and color is what you are
looking for. It is balanced. When the eye stops at the face you are
not seeing the blend of the person and their clothing. In this case the
clothing will be taking center stage. You want people to say
"you look
good" not just "your outfit looks good.".
- Balance. Look to see if all of the design
elements in your clothing flow. They flow when they bring the eye up
and down rather than from side to side. If you are proportionately larger
in any area of your body, wide hips, bust or waist are points to watch
for, then breaking up your clothing into portions by seams running at a
balanced weight will be helpful. For heavier busted women too much
expanse of any color is too much. Break up the expanse with jewelry,
seams, scarves or the cut of the neckline.
- Support. There is nothing like good fitting
garments that go underneath. Perhaps your figure would be enhanced by a
control top, shaper, or, girdle top pantyhose. This hosiery will provide
you with control while you stand as well as when you sit. A problem
for many women, it is hard to have the same control over their
abdominal muscles, when they sit, as when they stand Control tops also smooth bulges wherever they crop
up. I would not be with out mine.
- One piece, smoothies, all-in-ones and girdles.
These garments, depending on the amount of control you want may make all
the difference between something just fitting to something fitting
well. They offer support from the chest to the shoulders, a really nice
thing for larger breasted women while they smooth from hips to thighs.
A great overall good deal. Power slips, a newer invention, offer firm
control with flexibility. All of these garments redistribute your
assets for a greater balance.
